Why a proxy ? to be anonymous

Many malicious hackers scan for IP's trying to hijacked your browser or obtain information such as credit card numbers, bank accounts, and other personal information that doesn't belong to them.

With the help of a proxy server you can eliminate that from happening. Proxy servers such as the ones found on this site can hide your IP from these intruders. These proxies act as a mask so that an ordinary program would not be able to acquire your IP.
